Kain's History and Constitution

There was once a time when love and tranquility reigned supreme over the land, and when clan Rose was powerful and respected.  Whenever evil tried to slowly work its way back into the realm, it was fought off with swift vengeance.  Recently, the Rose monarch Flannel travelled to Sidhonia to battle Flee MageSugar, one of the leaders of the evil forces that occupied the area.  Flannel fought bravely but was severely injured by Flee in the Sidhonian forest.  The cleric Teema of Amity found Flannel while on her annual pilgrimage, and has been nursing him back to health in Amity.  Without the wise leadership of Flannel, Rose fell into disarray.  The Rose member Perry, on his way to Flannel for advice on how to keep Rose strong, was met by an apparition in the forest of New Xenalia.  The apparition passed right through Perry, who then fell to the ground, where he lay unconscious for hours.  When he awoke, he realized that the problem with Rose in the past was that they only fought evil, and did nothing to fight those whom allowed evil to maintain a presence in the realm, namely the neutral World clan and its successor the Gladius clan.  The name Kain then popped into his mind and he decided to adopt it for the name of his new, more aggressive, holier clan.  He decided to head back to Greyhaven right away to begin his fight against evil and its allies.

The clan of Kain will stop at nothing to restore what was once a great realm ruled by the good, the pure, and the righteous.  Each Kain member is expected to carry out the orders of the leaders and kill those whom they can until the entire realm is rid of the evil that has corrupted it.  Due to evil being everywhere and taking over the souls of so many, our only true allies lie within our clan alone.  No one shall be left unpunished: loners shall be punished for they have not yet chosen a path; Syndar members because they will aid any evil being that feeds their greed; Gladius members for they sometimes aid the treacherous Darkstalker clan, the pure embodiment of evil, which will be the first clan we run into the ground.  Kain will not rest until evil is banished from the planet.  We will gladly die for our cause for it is better to be dead than to live among scum.  We will make an example of anyone who wishes to help evil in anyway.  Anyone who does not wish to support our cause will be watched carefully.  Kain will kill all who stand in our way, all who wish to coexist with evil.  Their heads will be placed upon bloodied stakes throughout the land to send the darkness the message that light will once again prevail.

If you wish to assist the light and fight off the overwhelming darkness, speak to one of our great and enlightened leaders, they will show you the way.  Individuals guilded into Kain must complete a task given to them by one of these leaders.  Then they will be watched over closely to ensure that they are not evil-doers trying to make their way into our sanctuary.  Sept/2003
