Henri Chang, who plays the character named Hati,
is one of many ET players who come from Singapore.
Indeed, ET proudly considers itself a net-nation, composed
throughout its history of players from Singapore, Australia,
South Africa, the Netherlands, and the USA.
And the more people from more nations the better!
Singaporeans have been very strong, loyal supporters of ET.
In 2002, Hati, Rincewind, Packard, Nifredil, and Nekki, among other
Singaporeans, got together and sent a large sum of money for the ET donation drive.
The drive collected enough money from ET players
to pay in-advance for over one year of online server time!
ET has never been a big mud, has probably never had more than
thirty players online at the same time before, but ET, due to
its members, when not fighting or arguing of course,
has always been a mud with a warm, kind heart.
And one of the warmest, kindest souls on ET is Henri. The most distant memory of him that I have is from the late 1990s or early 2000s. He was playing a character named Haesh, or maybe a character that pre-dates Haesh, whose name escapes me at the moment. Anyway, what I do remember is that Henri was extremely friendly and helpful to everyone. At this time, Henri was in the mercenary Sylvan clan, and it fit his real-life nature well: it leaned towards good since it was led by Malakai, an ex-member of the angelic, holy Rose clan. In 2002-3, as Hati, he was the main leader of Gladius, the first new, totally-neutral clan since the World clan, from which Gladius descended. Henri, like Nifredil, went to college in the USA. In 2003, he became less active and so passed on the leadership of Gladius to Nekki, but he still visits when he can. ET is lucky to have him. Dimi/Jan/2004 |
