any moons ago, from the barren wastes, the dread
stench of death floated into a quiet village. The
elders of this village sent their best warriors and sorcerers
out to find the cause of this stench, and do away with it.
Day by day, people would watch with fear as men left the
village never to be heard from again. The vile stench grew
closer to the village with each passing day.
fter the remaining warriors and sorcerers dwindled to
a simple handful, the people grew restless. Each
day brought new word to the elders of the villagers'
fear of the forthcoming stench and of their
eagerness to flee the village before it arrives. The elders were proud.
No one had ever fled the village before, and they
could not stand the thought of it happening now.
ne girl found herself woken each morning by a more horrid stench than the day before.
She watched as people visited the elders. And she watched as the people left the elders,
carrying with them sorrow and fear. Determined that she would not let her village be destroyed,
the young Elvin druidess began studying diligently in the various arts of mana and physical combat.
She made it a point each day to study with any other sorcerers and warriors who were available
and willing to work with her. By the time the young druidess was seventeen years old, a few
warriors had managed to return to the village with word about the stench.
he elders were surprised to learn of the growing evils that lurked beyond the scope of the
small village. According to the stories told by the warriors, there was a rapid growth
of monsters in the realm over the horizon. Feeling as though she were well prepared, the young
Elvin druidess, Isollae, left her home village, and set out on a journey across the wastes to find this realm of growing evil.
ow eighteen years old, Isollae appears from the darkened borders of this new realm.
Uncertain of what to expect, she makes her way toward the center of a small town within
this realm. Greyhaven will prove to be her new home until she is able to destroy the threat that
caused her to leave her home.
