Oni
Profile
This pimp started on ET in the the mid-1990s, a few years after the mud itself
began. Tim, aka Oni, probably holds the record for having had the
most characters ever on the mud. And without a doubt,
he holds the ET record for the number of times a player has
had a character deleted by an immortal. One of the first
characters of his that was deleted was Lifestalker, and I had the
pleasure of deleting him. Further, noone has been banned
and unbanned from ET as many times as he has. It seems
that he and ET may be cosmically destined to be together
forever, except for some bans of varying length anyway.
Not too many people know the mud as well as he does, or
are least that's what he would have us believe. Actually, he
would have us believe that he knows everything better than
everybody . But serioulsy, I have been serious. Ok, he is very intelligent,
maybe not socially, but definitely academically. He is studying to be an
electrical engineer and, if he manages not to piss off his teachers and
future employers, he should be a huge success. Failing that, he could just
start his own company: it's ok to piss off employees; or he could just have
it be a company of one. But seriously, he is sharp. Mud-wise, he's played
on ET so much that he knows how it works and he offers a lot of good
suggestions for improving it, some of which have just recently been tried
in the never ending battle to make the game balanced for all classes
that exist. He has also provided a much needed surge of role-play into
the game, and will be trying to revive the forces of goodness in the realm.
To the left is a picture of Tim and his woman Lys when they got married
late in 2003. ET'ers and I are very happy for them both and wish
them the best. Tim, please, listen to your wife: the truth is
that a power greater than a woman's has never existed and never will exist.
Tim has problems with authority, and with almost all things,
and the authority of ET's immortals is even beyond that of a woman's,
and maybe that's why Tim has had problems adjusting.
Like an annoying brother, he may piss you off a lot, but he's still
your bro. Finally, the greatest thing he ever did for the
ET was to introduce his fellow Seattle-mate Cyrin to
the mud. And of course, she's fought with him maybe more than the
immortals have. I pray that I don't have to delete and ban him again for
that gets tiring. 06/03
From June 2003 to January 2004, Tim didn't agree with the
direction that the good clan, Kain, was going, so he played less as Oni.
Instead, he has played a character named Cthorkohl.
Cthorkohl is an Illythid necromancer and has become quite powerful.
He is a major player in Syndar, a merchant, mercenary clan.
In January, he confessed to cheating, hahahaha, and so
his Oni character was deleted.
He was lucky that his main character, Cthorkohl, was not deleted,
but then again the imms are trying to be less draconian.
Finally, others cheated, but he did not inform on them,
which gives us further insight into his true nature. Dimi/01/04
