At first it was strange I [Darksabre] was nothing more than a mere machine...my
creators had apparently made several errors in my creation and for some
odd reason I was cast down from the sky. As I fell my body changed to
that of a human figure, and all my electronic systems became a strange
sort of power source. Soon I learned that I had become a mage, and one
of the first few sites I saw was truly startling, it was that of Kayal,
and Ravane, then World's two clan leaders, bickering over one leveling
without the others permission. It was odd at first, but as I watched it
became obvious that the two were close friends, and I realized I had
found a new home. As I rose in power, so to did I gain knowledge, soon
it came to pass that Ravane disappeared, and Kayal had become a god.
World was then left with new leaders, Glimi and Eirin. I knew both of
them fairly well, and knew they would do a good job. It was not long
before World's numbers grew to a point where a few more clan leaders were
needed. As such it came to pass that both Helpist, and Talamar were
selected to become the next clan leaders.
Page 44
It was around that time that Ravane returned, and with his return we
now had 5 leaders...trouble was bound to happen and it soon did. The
clan Gatulot had become very powerful, and ran wild unchecked. It was
not long before we became a target of their power hungry attacks, a great
quarrel ensued, and all the leaders either left the clan, or simply
disappeared. We were left in a great time of strife. As I had been in
World for quite a while at the time, it came to pass that Kayal offered
to make me a clan leader, but knowing that I needed more time I passed on
the offer, as I had several times in the past. In my place, Lupus was
raised to the position of clan leader, even though he knew he would soon
have to leave. After much thinking, and a great many pleads from both
Kayal, and fellow clan mates, I finally decided to accept the role of
leadership. And so it came to pass that I became a leader. Since then I
have grown and seen much, The departure of Lupus, and the ascendence to
leadership of both Darius and Lews. As World began to grow and recover
we once again regained our position of power.
Page 45
Soon it came to pass that several of our bretheren followed in
Kayal's footsteps and became gods themselves, Rizzen and Eirin became
gods, and were forced to move on to other clans. However just as we had
reached seemingly our highest point, with Rees, Kuore, and Thalia joining
me Darius and Lews in the ranks of clan leadership, some awful
catastrophe occurred. We knew not why or how, but as it had happened in
the past, all were struck down.
In the aftermath of the great event a few had apparently come
through stronger than ever. Darius, and Kuore had also attained godhood,
but just as some of us had risen in power, so too had some of us
vanished. Thalia, Yavin, Eirin, Talamar, and Rizzen had not survived the
catastrophe, and were seemingly lost to us forever. Other clans too had
suffered similar blows.
Which brings us to the present....so many have come and gone, good
friends, and vile foes alike. Even though we have grown stronger since
our creation, so too have we lost a great deal. I guess that is the
balance of things, to gain something, something must also be lost, at
least the sacrifices of those who have long since moved on were not in
vain. We now have the power to grant rooms to those of us who prove
themselves worthy of it, and as it was before, so shall it be again,
World will some day regain its former might, and on that day, perhaps in
spirit at least, our fallen comrades shall rejoin us. [Darksabre's entry
ends, and Zoracc's follows.]
